Nativity Parish is a true family and international parish, rooted deeply in it’s Eastern European roots. As the only Personal Parish in the city of Lorain, Nativity started out serving the needs of the Polish immigrants to the city. Over one hundred and fifteen years later, we continue to honor our Polish roots, and have expanded with the inclusion of Hungarian, Slovak, Slovenian, Croatian, and any other ethnic group that calls us home. The void left by the closing of so many ethnic parishes is left to Nativity to fill. Ethnic music for worship is predominantly Polish, Hungarian and Slovak, though our choirs are willing to sing hymns in other languages.
