Heritage Commission

Purpose: To enrich cultural heritage activities within our parish family

Meetings: First Tuesday of each month (excluding Lent and summer) after the Education Commission meeting

Our membership is open to all who are interested in our mission.

Nativity B.V.M. was founded as a Polish nationality parish in 1898. In recent years, with the consolidation of parishes in Lorain, Nativity has welcomed groups of Hungarians, Slovaks, and other ethnicities. Heritage Committee serves persons of all nationalities, and we welcome parishioners of any ethnicity to share their heritage and make our parish a true international community.

Activities:

• St. Nicholas Day/Polish Ornament Making (December)

• Gift Item Sale

• Easter Pisanki Making

• Ethnic Potluck at a Local Brewery
