Typically sings at a mass in October, Christmas Eve, February, Easter Sunday, and First Communion
Nativity B.V.M. Children's Choir provides top-tier music and liturgical education. With two certified music educators providing lessons during rehearsals, each child learns to read music through carefully sequenced instruction, and the children learn the structure of the Mass and how to participate in it. Throughout their nine possible years in this choir, singers internalize a large body of songs and hymns, in a variety of styles, that are part of the parish repertoire. Participants learn to sing sacred choral music of the highest quality, and singers also enjoy their first handbell experiences in this choir. Most importantly, choir members draw closer to God, form lasting friendships, and bring joy to the congregation!
